Our Ministries

The Word of God instructs us that it is the responsibility of pastors and teachers to equip the saints for the work of ministry, to grow them in maturity in Christ, to warn them of false teachers and teachings, to help them discern between truth and error, and to encourage and enable every believer to do his or her share for the growth and edifying of the body of Christ in love. (Ephesians 4:11-16)

At First Missionary Baptist Church there are a variety of ministries in which you and your family can plug in, grow and be a part.

Children and Youth Ministries

Our Children and youth ministries are held on Sunday mornings at 9 am and seasonally on Wednesday nights at 6 pm. These groups are for children and youth of all ages.

Adult Ministries

Our adult Bible Study Groups are held on Sunday mornings at 9 am and consist of a mixed Bible study class and a women’s Bible study class.

We also have a Women’s on Mission group that meets once a month to focus on learning and praying for missions and doing ministry projects. This is available to women of all ages and is held at various dates and times each month.

We also have small men’s and ladies groups that are meeting once a month at various times. Please contact us if you would like more information regarding one of our small groups.

Evangelism and Outreach

We have scheduled outreach days where we come together to pray and go out to share the Gospel. This is a crucial part of our life as a church as we seek to fulfill the Great Commission of our Lord to make disciples of all the nations.

Missions

We have a Mission Team that meets once a month to pray and plan toward local, national, and overseas missions. Anyone is welcome to be a part of this team as we pray for, plan and encourage the church to be a part of the mission that Christ has entrusted to us by praying, giving, and going.

We also support HeartCry Missionary Society through prayer and giving. The HeartCry Missionary Society functions as a partner with and facilitator between autonomous churches and individual donors in the West and indigenous churches in some of the most unevangelized areas of the world, that the gospel might be preached to every creature; the elect might be gathered from every tribe, tongue, people, and nation; and strong local churches might be established among them. Heartcry’s specific calling is to partner with indigenous churches of like faith and practice in the training and sending of missionaries for the establishment of mature, autonomous, local churches.
